» Transporting a motorbike
In the beginning of this year I had to move due to business interests in Bulgaria. As a comfortable season for bikers in the Balkans already starts in March and lasts until October I decided to take my bike with me. It was a simple calculation of costs and positive emotions (the latter having more influence) and so I started to search for possibilities to do so.I talked to several transport companies and Arco Transport was one of the few who I felt I could trust. It was their knowledge of different options for transporting such a thing as motorcycle that made me decide in favour of them. The most critical issue for a bike-owner is the securing of safe transport (rather than price) as the even the slightest scratch may cause the owner of expenses starting normally from 200€. Arco was the only one who offered me a sort of special pallet for tightening my bike. Luckily for me, cause otherwise I would have had to start to design one myself.
So my bike started its journey from Arco warehouse at Saue where it got loaded on truck and sent to Vienna. Weekdays after I arrived in Vienna and received my bike „alive and kicking” from Arco Transport’s partners warehouse. From there on we continued as a team and drove through Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia and Kosovo. The trip was in total 1700 km-high-lighted by the temperature-changes (some parts the road rised up to 2500 m above sea-level), picturesque sceneries of Montenegro and grotesque situations in Kosovo.
After six-month’s in Blugaria I returned home and again it was Arco Transport who delivered my bike from Vienna back to Estonia. Because I informed Arco about my plans to return my bike to home at some point I was delighted to find out that previously mentioned pallet was already waitng for me at the Vienna terminal. The only thing I had to do was a bit of paperwork and tighten the bike on the pallet. Two weeks after I arrived my bike arrived too and I was reunited with my metal friend in a place where it all started e.g. Arco Saue warehouse.
In conclusion I would like to highlight two reasons to choose Arco Transport – it was easy to relate with these guys and the journey was safe for my bike. You do not get the best possible price in such situation, but the secure feeling about my bike balances the costs spent on them.
